The role

We are looking for a full time qualified level 3/4 Personal Trainer to join our growing team of Fitness Professionals that are dedicated to providing fantastic levels of customer care and enrich our member's health and well-being.

What we’re looking for

  • Fully Qualified level 3 personal trainer minimum qualification required
  • Minimum 1 year's PT experience within a gym or health club
  • A nice smile, proactive, approachable, motivated and a creative thinker.
  • A team player
  • Work to KPIs and driven to achieve targets
  • Be aware of your body language whilst training clients. I.e don’t just stand counting reps. Get involved and be passionate.
  • Be adaptable, flexible and imaginative in your sessions
  • Acknowledge others even whilst training a client
  • Use measurements criteria appropriate to each client
  • Create a ‘feel good’ factor in every session (make it fun, not a chore)
  • Create added value by educating clients on all aspects of a healthy lifestyle
  • Must be confident in engaging with members
  • Must be able to sell your Personal Training services 

Working model

  • Lanes Health Clubs will support you in the first 16-20 week’s with 30 paid hours of work (Weekly) on a two week rotation as follows: week 1 Monday-Friday 05:45-12 or 16:00-22:00, week 2, 3 weekdays same times as in week 1 with also a Saturday and Sunday at 07:45-14:00 or 13:45-20:00. Development of our tier system, get to know the ins and outs of our product and build your business skills. That salary is uncapped thereafter. 
  • We don't charge rent as you will be employed on a zero hour contract. 
  • We offer different rates of pay depending on what you deliver for your personal training. These rates of pay will be discussed in your interview.  
  • During you probation period of 3-5 months you will start of with 30 hours per week. As you build up your PT you will begin to have your shift hours replaced by the hours you are delivering sessions in, at the end of your probation we expect the successful applicant to be delivering a minimum of 70 hours per month (17.5 hours per week) of personal training.

Application process

  • We will begin by reviewing your application. Please make sure that you CV and cover letter are completed to the highest standard as we will short list applicants at this stage for the formal interviews. 
  • After successfully having you application accepted we will arrange to have a formal interview which will involve a face to face interview with the Head of PT and Gym supervisor. A practical element will follow including information gathering and sessions delivery.

  • You covering letter must include the following points: 
  • Why did you become a PT? 
  • What niche will you bring to our club (a unique selling point). 
  • What are your future progressions for your career. 
  • How do you plan on hitting 70 hours of PT per month by the end of your probation? 
  • What classes can you do/cover?

  • For your interview please come in gym gear.
