The core components of the role? Delivery of Online Physiotherapy assessments and follow-ups. Management of your own diary and communications with your patients. Contribution to the Online Physiotherapy media content. The full and exciting components of the role? To undertake comprehensive assessments and diagnosis of clients with a wide variety of musculoskeletal pathologies. To formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programmes, ensuring high-quality and effective treatment, specialist advice and aiding recovery to optimal levels. Promote the Physiotherapy Service to clients both in professional and social contexts; increasing awareness. Take a lead in growing the brand of The Online Physiotherapist, i.e., gaining testimonials, speaking and sharing online, and being active in the social media presence. To continually use evidence-based practice to support treatment methods and plans. Maintain GDPR and client documentation to reflect care provided and to meet professional standards. Write clinical letters/reports for clients as required, for insurance and organisational needs. Liaise with insurance companies as required, to enable Physiotherapy treatment. Produce and send treatment programmes for clients in a timely manner. Ensure client confidentiality at all times. Participate in regular CPD. Identify any gaps in services to line manager; always seeking excellence, and ensuring best overall delivery. Evaluate clinical practice through reflection. Openness to ErgoPhysio collaboration. Ensure a strong work-life balance.

Many of our swimmers have progressed to swim competitively and even to represent our country.  Teaching our swimming lessons will see you delivering safe fun and progressive lessons, but this is also a mentality we take towards our teachers' careers and personal development. We want you to feel safe in your employment so we will contract you for as little or many teaching hours as you want around your current commitments.    Paying for your own safeguarding and DBS checks aren’t fun or cheap so we provide these for you! There’s also no need to hold your own personal insurance as you will be covered by ours. Working for us will enable you to work within all our leisure centres as well as giving you excellent personal and career development through continued training and learning opportunities.  Our in-house Aquatic Training Academy will provide you with ongoing training through our specialist CPDs in swimming teaching, meaning you can access a range of training throughout your career, and when it comes to that career we have a solid pathway in place meaning there is opportunity to progress into management or other areas in the business.  We share your passion for leisure and want you to be able to embrace all the excellent services we provide to our customers which is why all of teachers are given a free membership as well as one for a friend or family member.  Serco manages these facilities on a day-to-day basis on behalf of the Trust.

Lead Swimming Teacher (Whitney)

GLL is currently looking for Lead Swimming Teachers based at Dorking Sports Centre. Join us as a Lead Swimming Teacher and play a key role in the developing both our customers swimming skills, and the skills of your team of teachers. This is your chance to deliver safe, consistent swimming lessons that give people real confidence in the water – and an invaluable life skill. As an experienced swimming teacher, you’ll thrive on supporting people to achieve their potential. Taking a pupil’s nature and needs into account. A Lead Swimming teacher will draw on their knowledge of practices, progression and teaching points and apply it in the most effective way, whilst supporting and guiding your team of teachers. Naturally, there’ll be some administration involved, but rest assured that almost all of your time will be spent doing what you do best, teaching people to become stronger swimmers and leading your team of teachers to success. What you will do:  Maintain a good and positive image of the Centre to customers and the public generally by providing a welcoming, helpful and professional poolside service. Ensure the safety and control of the pupils within the swimming lesson and to ensure that all relevant regulations applicable to the centres operation are enforced and complied with. Understand and follow the Safeguarding Policy and Procedure & Behaviour policy contained within the Swim School product. Lead and motivate a team of teachers to deliver lessons in line with the product manual to ensure a consistent approach throughout your centres. Be responsible for the swimming teacher coordination and quality team teaching when on shift. Including the co-ordination of registers, grouping swimmers and managing ratios. Mentor, develop and guide your team and any newly qualified teachers by providing developmental and positive feedback to teaching teams. Attendance at Teacher Meetings and Training is required. To ensure attendance is captured and accurately monitor pupil progression and update pupil progress to help pupil’s complete relevant awards in line with expected standards. Assist with new-enrolments and re-enrolments as required by the General Manager. Actively encourage pupils to enrol on further courses and short courses.
